Given To The Light is a Christian rock band from Astoria, New York, founded by brothers Dean Rich and Bernard Rich in 2019. The band began with the two of them studying records by ear, writing songs, performing open mics and live shows, and learning how to record their own music. Over the years, they worked through different instruments, recording setups, and band names while gradually developing a sound built on heavy guitars, dark melodies, forceful drums, and emotionally charged spiritual lyrics.

Their first released album, Love Without Fear, came out in 2025 after years of independent writing, rehearsal, and recording. The album established their grunge-influenced approach to rock. As their music and faith developed, Dean and Bernard eventually began publicly presenting themselves as a Christian band under the name Given To The Light.

Their music brings personal experience and spiritual questions together. The songs explore faith, doubt, mortality, suffering, forgiveness, identity, truth, salvation, and the search for God. Their second album, Give Life to the Living, is scheduled for release on September 25, 2026.
